Netelligent Datacenters

Space. Space. and More Space!

Instead of renting space in a colocation facility owned and operated by a 3rd party, our primary location is completely owned, operated, and designed by Netelligent and boasts world class infrastructure with state-of-the-art power and cooling systems.. This ownership provides us complete control over the entire process of providing you with mission critical services, and gives us the flexibility and speed in implementing new solutions.

Netelligent also has POPs in several other locations around Montreal operated by 3rd parties. These locations have been carefully vetted and tested by our engineers in order to provide you with backup sites, or secondary location.

Fire Protection

Our datacentre's fire suppression system uses two components that work hand-in-hand to detect a fire as early as possible, and to also extinguish it with minimal impact to health and property.

  • VESDA, or Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus, is a very early warning aspirating smoke detection solutions with continuous air sampling, providing the earliest possible warning of an impending fire hazard.
  • VESDA detectors have multi-level warnings and a wide range of sensitivity that does not degrade or change over time, so even minute levels of smoke can be detected before a fire has time to escalate.
  • Victaulic Vortex is a nitrogen-myst fire suppression system. By filling the affected room with the special myst, the oxygen levels in the room drop enough to stop combustion, while allowing workers to still breathe and operate.
  • Provides a near-zero wetting of protected areas with no need for costly cleanup or equipment replacement.

Security system

The physical security of Netelligent's datacenter is one our highest priorities. We utilize an array of security equipment, techniques and procedures to control, monitor and record access to the facility, including customer cage areas.

  • Monitoring with HD security cams.
  • Activity is stored for 30 days.
  • Audited yearly for SOC2 Type2 compliance.
  • Security staff on-site 24x7x365.
  • Dual layered physical access control.
  • Physical man-trap controls all entries and exits.
  • Card access system with photo ID.
  • Access is limited only to essential, authorized personnel.

Fiber connectivity

The datacenter is connected to the internet, via fiber-optic connections, directly through tier 1 providers. Our core network is based on a fully redundant BGP4 network powered by Juniper and Arista carrier-class equipment.

  • Dual physical fiber entrances into the building (North and South) with direct conduits to the facility?s Meet-Me-Room.
  • Abundant dark fiber available.
  • QIX and TORIX connectivity.
  • Current telecom suppliers within the building: Rogers, Cogent, Bell, Videotron, Allstream, SRDP, FibreNoire, MetroOptic, Cogeco.
  • Providers available via dark fibre extensions: Level3, Tiscali, TATA, Cogent, Hybernia Atlantic, nLayer, GT-T, HE, Rogers, Telus.
